Protalix should be licensing their technology to ALL generics makers for $1 million for the first year, and $500k thereafter, plus a 2% royalty on all future drug sales using it's technology.
Some say this is giving away the technology, but look at what Google did giving away stuff for free.
Protalix's strategy should not be to become another generic drug maker but to create the PLATFORM that EVERYONE USES in manufacturing of biologics. The only way the old methods of manufacturing are COMPLETELY replace by Protalix's technology is if they make it very enticing for everyone to switch over. A loss of a few pennies per share earnings now will allow them to enjoy $10's/$100 per share earnings in the future.
Like during the gold rush, the people who made the most money were the ones selling the pickaxes and pans.
