I have like 6500 shares here. my average is 22. I think this stock is a steal, but impeding it is the failure of the company to buy back shares. they have the cash now that they can go to wall street and buy containers at 4% and lease them for an IRR of closer to 10%
sellbull... You are positioned to do well. I believe that CAP will reach $30 within the next 18 months. If the Company catches investor interest, it could go higher. I bought some at $2.23 (my low cost lot) on January 21, 2009. I previously had bought some in the low teens and sold allt when it got near twenty--a little too far ahead of itself. My highest cost lots are at just under $20 acquired in July 2011. My average cost is at $9.64 per share.
Even if the worlddwide ocean shipping market were to slow, CAP can continue to perform well by doing sale/leasebacks and acquisitions from the managed fleet. You are right that borrowing on the cheap and investing at much higher returns is a great opportunity for CAP to continue to grow at a rapid clip.
