Laguna, I am happy that my son was able to catch the dip below $15. I believe any stop losses will be taken out...I have had it happen to other stocks that I have been invested in....is it me, or does anyone else notice that there is a significant amount of shorting going on (more now than ever)?....even in stocks with super fundamentals.....the stuff I have seen looks like flash crashes when the marketmakers take the stop losses out and then drives the price right back up in less than 5 minutes.
Wanna, somehow I managed to get through life so far without ever shorting a stock. I buy long and follow two rules: 1) Don't fall in love with your stocks; 2) It's never wrong to take a profit. My positions might last hours, weeks or years. Also I mostly buy stocks yielding at least a 3% dividend. LGF is my only non-dividend stock.
Should LGF close at 20 by the end of the year, I'll be ahead a minimum of 52% this year without unnecessary risks, in my opinion. It works for me.
Yes, it does seem that there is an increase in shorting. I hear about it all the time on CNBC and of course from posts here. I don't intend on trying to fix something that's working for me.
