Star Trek Into Darkness vs Star Trek (2009)

Star Trek (2009) Domestic was $257,730,019.

Four years later in May 2013 Star Trek Into Darkness opens. Let's see if our resident zero-average predictor, Billy, can tell us what his Domestic guess is.

My inference is that it MAY surpass Marvel's AVENGERS. If it does, or even comes close, then HG CF being the number ONE anticipated film carries ultra huge implications for its box office.

    • Prof, you might want to check my actual predicting record.

You and I actually had a prediction conversation for BD2. You said it would do 500 million. I said that was looney tunes like everything you post. I then said 350 would be utterly fantastic run, but the range was 275 to 325 like every Twilight movie.

I'm also on record for The Impossible. I initially said 30 was the outer limits, but that realistically it would do 20 and not much more.

Both those predictions were before the movies came out.

As for your logic in this thread, it's so whacked there's no point in addressing it.
