The facts are that SD was near $7 a share when the control battle began, and TPG much to the relief and expectations
of shareholders large and small has won, they have already begun making the changes we all wanted. Going forward debt levels are reduced and both oil and natgas prices are stronger. It's laughable that the stock went sub-$ 5 but greatly appreciated by myself and many others. I think a bunch of folks are going to be sorely disappointed they didn't take advantage of the negativity avalanche...those who take the greatest risk get the biggest reward......when we're right....and I am very much of the belief we are right betting on TPG turning SD around and/or getting a fair valuation for it through sales...either suites me just fine !! Switching from a hierarchical organization ran by an empire builder (Tom Ward) to more of a matrix-type organization should make putting the focus where it needs to be, when it needs to be. SD should be able to prioritize things faster and make good decisions, provided key spots are filled with competent people. So far so good IMHO.
