I think SD is as safe a place to be as anywhere else in the market on a risk versus reward balance.

Ward may stay, Ward may go. TPG has some influence now, likely to have greater influence. There's no immediate funding problems and there are assets that could be sold if additional is needed. There's certainly been reduced interest expenses, salary reductions, planes sold. We're still subject to Macro events in the market....example Japan, presently. Folks who thought utilities were safe got a wake up call. Nothing in the market is guaranteed. SD is gonna make a move probably before June 30....then there'll be earnings coming......and there's always a possibility of micro news. I'm not predicting a market sell-off...the media does that daily...but I was in the market for all the pops and drops for the last 30 years. I only buy stocks that based on their key statistics...I would double up my position if the price fell 50%. By doubling up that doesn't mean one buy...it means disciplined buying during panic selling. You can't outrun algorithms and HFT's. For those who do it, or have done it.......it's not easy to be a buyer when the whole world is selling and you know the valuations may keep getting lower and lower. When I hear fund managers say they are being cash heavy at 10-15%...I consider them idiots. I don't like being less than 50% cash because it's MY MONEY. You can't buy bargains if your wallet is basically empty. Never forget...fund managers use other peoples money and they get paid regardless of results...PERIOD. Just be cautious on high PE stocks who are valued on future earnings. I'm a contrarian investor and it's served me well over the years....and if your'e going to earn $$$$ by running against the herd " buying SD" then you better really be bullheaded. Some folks are bullish on a stock when they buy it...and the first day it goes red...they go Bearish. If you like a stock buy it disciplined...don't BS yourself into thinking you've caught the bottom..you probably haven't. I'm a CONTRARIAN INVESTOR..so I fully expect most will disagree! =$$$ GLTA
