What great information is here. Let's see. Posters cast doubt on the amount of gold, the ability to mine it and the integrity of the engineering company involved. One claims that they have even filed a complaint with the appropriate regulator over the estimation methods (while also admitting he is short the stock). Here are some suggestions for serious investors, not bashers and idiots,
1. Go to the Pretium web site and review the qualifications of Pretium management.
2. Go to the Pretium web site and review their latest presentation.
3. Find another deposit ANYWHERE in the world with comparable drill results on a comparable scale. Please post the information.
4. Find another message board. Oh you didn't know their were others? Many of the bogus issues appearing on this message board have been refuted, and include communications with Pretium Investor Relations. Duh.
P.S. The final bulk sample results will not be available until 2014 per the company.
I agree. Due diligence is paramount. While you are at it, have a look into the 80 million ounce silver writedown at Silver Standard following the CEO's departure. Deflecting the debate onto a more friendlier board or the companies web site is not debating.
Thank you Jack of all trades - I certainly value your steadfast thumping these days; It's obvious one should initiate a short position in PVG at these all time low prices with the wisdom you've ever so generously bestowed upon us. I should also take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the board for looking out for our interest and for preserving our wealth before we buy into this scam (run by one of the most reputable name in the sector). You have spent your personal time unearthing some compelling findings about this deposit which qualified geologists and analysts who do this for a living have negligently missed. If we are lucky enough someday, we might, just might, turn your gratuitous advice into profit.
I highly recommend the SSRI board, where your banter will be well-received.
I like PVG, and am invested. If one follows exploratory miners, it seems right now to be the best story. It'll either remain a mine for the ages, or it won't. Time will tell. I follow both bearish and bullish analysts on PVG (some of the most bullish cases are on theaureport, and worth checking out). As one of the more recent "bulls" said, this has enough potential where it's worth swinging for the bleachers.
I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to understand the possible risks in one's investment though.
I think the stock price, and it's tred say it all. In the past year the stock has steadily fallen, despite repeated 'good news' announcements from PVG management. There seems to be someting wrong here...more than just falling gold prices. I remain a PVG holder, but am starting to become fairly suspecious.
