I agree, but I doubt VELT has any takers until the turnaround is more apparent. Re-read the BusinessWeek article from Dec. on the author's speculation that Ross was hired to groom VELT for a buyout from a major technology company. I believe he was at Sybase for three or four years before the mega-buyout by SAP. I believe the consensus was the SAP overpaid, so Ross did well for Sybase shareholders.
With MM now out of the way, VELT is the largest pure play mobile marketer on the block. One obstacle for a VELT buyout is the CEO. As far as I've read, he's held his shares all the way down and is taking a blood bath, so he would need to be well compensated to get out of the way. I see the only reason to be in VELT at the moment is to trade on buyout rumors. If the CEO steps aside, that would be a definite buy signal.
