Another point to remember regarding the buyout is that Klayko and the other senior executives have recently become the beneficiaries of "change of control" clauses in their employment contracts. That means if (when) the buyout occurs, they get full vesting on their stock options and other benefits.
At this depressed price level, it wouldn't surprise me if potential buyers are loading up on the stock already in advance of discussions with management.
CSCO is feeling the pressure from JNPR. Juniper is gaining market share and is growing rapidly. What better way to one up on Juniper than to buy BRCD. They have plenty of cash to do it. I would never sell my shares at these levels. The stock may test its 52 week low, but I cant see it going much lower. Of course that is what I said when it was at 5. We shall wait and see. If you look at the last big BRCD rally last year, the stock was tumbling just like it is now right before it went from 4 to 8. I do not think this stock will hit 8 anytime soon, but if you weigh the downside risk to the upside potential I would start accumulating now if you haven't already.
