Three short & one long! Time to hit the silk.
Looking at a chart of CCI, looks more like mountians of the moon. Not that TRV HAS A straight line going upwards, but it is a whole lot steadier than that of CCI. When you compare the two charts on quickens.com, TRV has gained almost 90% in the last year to CCI's 25%. I can't see this merger as doing anything but slowing down the growth of TRV. This mornings increases in the two stock is just a prelude as to which stock is going to get the benefit from this merger. OPINIONS PLEASE!!!!!
There seems to be a lot of nervous investors out there. Some people think that the two businesses don't mix very well. I wonder if it's better to sell and buy back when price stabilizes. Does anyone out there project the bottom for this slide?
Today's beating is one of many the stock has taken since last Monday's run up after the merger announcement.
My thought is that there is concern in some circles about whether the merger will go through, though I don't think that's justified. Also concerns about whether there will be other problems with the mechanics of the merger and the success of it(i.e. enhancing earnings). It may be a while before investors get comfortable with the stock, but when they do the run up will continue. Look for 75 by June.
Not sure which way this ones going to go, as I really don't feel confident that the mergers going to make it. It just seems there more negative comments that positive.
If they want the name citygroup, all they have to do is buy it from the owner. That shouldn't be too difficult. Dosen't make you kind of wonder what kind of homework was done on this merger?
You must be looking at cci one year chart look at the 5 year and you will see excellent growth over the period. Both companies generates about 3.5 billon in cash a year. CCI target price before this merger (as predicted by major analyst) was 198 by years end with out this merger.
