VIST Financial has been a disaster. I got the stock in this bank when they acquired Madison Bank, a small well run niche bank in the Philadelphia subs. When they acquired Madison there was little regard for its management and they were very quick to cut ties with the people who had the customer relationships. Dumb! VIST is a classic example of an arrogant management team with no leader. Don't expect this stock to make a dramatic move anytime soon. In fact, the best thing their management team could do is look for another bank to acquire them.
I agree, this stock has been a disaster, having said that, it does have an attractive franchise, and is totally undervalued on every matrix. It will go up and way up once there economy in the area get a bit stronger, thanks for the reply.
First, Madison was a poorly run niche bank. They were barely surviving when Vist, formerly Leesport, acquired them. The issue with this stock is the former president was run off by the board and he was the heart and soul of the company. It was his vision that built this company. The current leader, management team, and board of directors are terrible. They are a rutterless ship in rough waters. They continuously make poor decisions in almost all areas. The president and Sr. Management team are poor...on a good day. In their market, they should be grow in double digits not put putting along.
