Did you all see this?
I hope they don't need more time to cook up some positive earnings/news....
stop fooling yourself. Reality check here: tc is about to do a merger for about $2.80 or the news is so bad that they hope people have gotten over the bend over they are about to receive by then. Any way you slice it my followers are in good hands.
Okay Foogie how about this:The CC was moved b/c there is a conflict with the board. They originally wanted to file the 10q on Aug 8th but had to bump it up a day due to the board meeting. Management decided investors don't like Monday or Friday CC calls. The conflict is getting the board there on time to host the CC and filing the 10Q. Does that make sense?
I like to know why such decisions are made so I try to find out. It's better than speculating all day.
This is why I will watch him occasionally.
1) For astute market observations such as this (get a few everyweek from him, usually in the first 10 minutes of his show.
2) For some of the CEO interviews.
3) For the occasional head to head stock analysis in the same sector.
4) For possibles trends and investing ideas that I may want to research, if it sounds good and tracks with what else I am reading.
You just have to be willing to put up with his banter and chaff, and not take him seriously on individual issues. His blanket "advice" dispensed willly nilly on the show (buy buy buy sell sell sell) is entertaining, but rather dangerous, IMHO.
Again, I go back to human nature. If the news is all bad, you get it over with in one fell swoop. It is either good news, a (very) serious health issue (and even that might not delay the call) or a contractual reason.
I just don't see bad news as reason to delay the call. Otherwise, it would be both the EARNINGS release and the CALL delayed together.
Maybe I am wrong. But at least I am certain.
Let me put it this way: Bad timing with a board meeting most likely, later filing of 10Q probably and investors not really liking Friday or Monday CC calls ideally. Ill leave it at that and let you read between the lines.
