I think it's good that they picked someone who appears to have industry experience. The problem with it is that by hiring this guy, they are digging their heels in and sending the message they are going to create long term value through execution, rather than a strategic deal.
And the problem with that approach is that the company has demonstrated zero ability to execute and create value.
They need to invite Steel Partners in and let them take over.
