The timeline is 12 months and about 2 weeks after they pull their head out and hire someone to get their remaining phase III trial enrolled. The intern writing the monthly extension for completing enrollment had to go back to communication classes so when they have to come into the office each quarter to change the A/C filters they do a cut and paste job on the quarterly safety PR.
Take a look at the company website, look for "NX-1207 for BPH" and then the tab for "About NX-1207." The notice says NYMX "recently announced (May 2008) statistically significant improvement...." They think a nearly 5 year old reference is recent - gives one a good understanding of management's concept of time. I guess since BPH is slow progressing, management believes they need to be the same. Other companies move forward while this management team makes absolutely no progress towards commercialization of this promising therapy.
I think it will be more like 14-15 months after the second phase 3 hits full enrollment. Hopefully we get to enjoy some good news every quarter or so until then. Doomsday WRB provides the free entertainment along the way. Personally I don't care if this is patented monkey spit and he's printing his own money to pay for it. If the phase 3 results are close to the phase 2 we will all do fine.
