I may be dreaming - BUT:
SOROS doe's not have to report to the SEC so FAST after the SALE (Few days) he can wait at least a month.
In my opinion he (the fund) doe's not want you small guys get hart, he actually is WARNING:
"Look I am getting out". Only my take.
My disclosure: I have NO holdings now in any stock.
The simple explanation is typically the correct one. I would guess that Soros is lightening up his position at a favorable price. The thought that Soros would report sales to the SEC early to help the small investor would be humorous if it weren't so outrageous. Much higher likelihood that Soros wants to give the false impression that he is bailing out of the stock to start a major sell-off in which he can acquire shares at a much cheaper price.
Think about that for a moment. First you sacrifice 19K shares and nobody pays much attention. Next you sell another 100K shares to really scare the uninformed investor, then file quickly with the SEC to make sure everyone knows. Sounds like a potential "bait and switch" to talk the weak hands out of their shares. Remember one thing. If Soros was so smart, why didn't he double his position at $3 per share.
JMHO and Good luck LNOP longs
Paper is the globes in hebrew - NOT Shlomi or Grinberg - From those two I would NOT take advice, even if they were the last on earth. Many people lost a bundle on globes portfolio.
BTW: LNOP up to now, was hardly mentioned by the globes or any other paper.
About customers: I do not know. But I hope very much it is not any thing to do with Orcit or the subsidary of Orcit.
One more thing. CMVT is a telecom software company. I don't see then having stake in LNOP due to interest in EZChip. So even without looking at the past 2 years filing, I would say if there was a sale it could have been due to LNOP's holding in the other subsidiary (I believe it was NetLink or something. I don't quite recall the exact name)
I had taken a look for SEC filing for the past 9 months and only thing I was able to find was 2 sales by soros - one for approx 19,000 and the second for 90,000. As I checked, there was also a filing last year in June and then in early 2000. I have requested a copy. If CMVT sold some shares, thats old news. Also keep in mind that LNOP had another subsidiary which it sold last year. If CMVT got our last year then it could be due to that 9its intesrest in that subsidiary). If you are talking about 2000, then its real old news. Who cares?
What do you mean? CMVT had stake in LNOP and it got out or you personally owned CMVT shares and sold it? I am presuming its the latter.
Keep in mind Israel stock market is not doing well due to conflict in the middle east. But I would say that is a very short term issue and investing in LNOP should be viewed as long term. If EZ really takes off, this could be easily a 10-20 beggar in 3 year timespan.
Yeah, That makes sense...he really cares about the little guy....are you kidding...all he cares about is No.#1. If he did not believe in EZchip,he would of dumped all his shares on those high volume days. There is a shortage of shares....my speculation he did not sell the shares on the open market...he was requested by the company to sell it back to them so they can give their top engineers stock options. They probably want him not to own much more than 10%...it's selling pitence....he still has 800,000 shares....do you really think he's warning the little investor so they can sell off their shares, making his 800,000 worthless..very logical...look at the facts..we have a working NPU...2 generations ahead of the competition...there is at least 8 customers..including some top teir companies..obviously someones is already designing their products to incorporate EZchip into their designs...do you think that would happen if the chip did not work. we are in the early phases of a huge growth curve for the products...remember they are selling more than the chip..The captian has it right on..in a two year time from the stock can easily hit the low triple digits...and he is using a low PE for a semi company which is usually 60-120 times earnings...Think about it....
