Why do you "folks" work this baord so hard to get people to sell? I have asked many times and never received an answer.
The only logical conclusions that I can come to are:
1. You are a buyer who really thinks that there are enough weak holders out there that monitor message boards with enough shares to sell that will allow you to acquire shares at a cheaper price. (I know that society is full of dumb people, but I find this hard to believe.)
2. You truely care about your common man and are trying to warn him/her of pending doom. (I find this IMPOSSIBLE to believe.)
Are there other reasons? If not, PLEASE JUST GO AWAY!
I say this in all honesty. I make money off of you when you incessantly post here, as you have over the last few days. Regardless, I would just as soon see you gone so that the people that have someting meaningful to say won't flee and hide.
Please, for the sake of humanity, either give me another reason why you post OR JUST GO AWAY.
Yea i love QCOM i first boutht in 97 and bought more as it continute to work for me. Never sold a share and got more in 2002 at 30. and we have had a two for one split since then.
Wish i bought LNOP instead of RMBS.
Love Laughlan. I've only got kicked out of one casino there. (Actually my wife did. She doesn't count but watches my play. She knows what to do.)
NSM--big believer. Own a lot of it. They have 30% of Foveon--another leading edge technology.
QCOM--more great tech. Wish I'd bought it years ago. I've watched it for years. It's one of the stocks that kept going up and up and up. I always waited for it to go down so I could buy in. Never did. If you own it, HOLD IT.
Don't follow the others, so no comment.
PS: I think meirkl's response to your post is absolutely correct. If you are thinking about buying LNOP, its time to pull the trigger.
All IMHO--good luck.
Great post longlnop:
I kind of did the same thing but gave up on blackjack after i lost 5k in Laughlan one winter in 2000. I am not in lnop but have been watching the tech. and agree they do have the best and do like the revenue growth the last years. Now if they could just keep some of that money and begin making a profit.
I am in the chips big time qcom, irf, lsi, nsm, and more recently RMBS. What do you think.
I really don't want to play the game if that is what we are playing. But I have sensed a different tone today. So I'll play, and we'll see.
First a parallel. I learned that I liked playing blackjack. I played it and lost. I then purchased some books. I taught myself how to react to EVERY SINGLE SEQUENCE that could arise. I still lost, but not as much. The house still had the advantage, but only 2%. So I then learned how to count cards. That put the odds in my favor. It was at that time that I started to get kicked out of casinos. Like I always say, they don't keep the lights on because of winners.
I had always invested in real estate. Frankly, I have never lost there. There seemed to be only two keys; buy distressed properties and fix em up, or buy the correct location and hold. Times may change, but real estate has always been a winner, at least under those terms.
Classic cars. Found that they were GREAT FUN and couldn't ever loose there, either.
I then started "playing" stocks. My dad was always a stock man. Started in the mid-90's. I made so much money that I was ready to retire. With margin, you could play 100's of thousands a day. What a buz. And I quickly lost it all.
Oh, I read IBD from cover to cover, daily. I read all the books. I purchased thousands and thousands of expensive newsletters. I bought cups with handles. I did it all perfectly. But in a bad market, during terrible times, you learn. Perhaps the best way to learn is to lose.
So I took the best of what I learned from all of it. Still have real estate. Still have classic cars. Still play with stocks. The operative word is "play."
I have about 8-10 stocks that I hold. I bought all of them with a 5 year outlook. The bottom line, LNOP is the most important one, for one reason. I'm not stupid. I do my homework. I believe in technology. And frankly, LNOP has the best technology out there. So do I believe in it, you bet. Will I lose, perhaps. But, I learn from my mistakes, I do my DD, I balme no one but myself. Because of the technology, I believe that LNOP provides me with the best chance to retire before 60.
As to what I paid, much was purchased below $5. But I play it too. And in my opinion, we are about to rocket. So take that for what its worth.
I sincerely hope that things will change between us. I have been very honest. I know that others that read this message board have grown tired of both of us.
I'm ready to turn the page and shut up. Are you ready to do the same?
Thank you for your concern, I'm number 2 on your list. I'm not a holder, buyer or seller, but here to enjoy the wonderfull post on this board.
But, seriously the technicals are all broken on this stock.
You should seriously consider moving to winners such as NX, NUE, CLF
Good luck here and take care.
I'm a Michigan State fan myself. So, you already know that when it comes to football, I have a long history of being a hopefull looser.
I have also been a season ticket holder to MSU basketball for 20 years and have been to three final fours since 2000 with my son. So I know what it's like to be a winner, also.
I've seen your posts before and do not put you in the same class as grummy and rcraam. Point well taken. Message boards are entertaining.
I have other investments and monitor other boards. But I do not post there, not on any of them. Message boards can be a useful source of information. Unfortunately, you also always have to sift through the BS of the grummy's and rcraam's out there.
I post here for one reason. I really believe in the technology behind this company and truly believe that it will be a winner.
OK, I'll play the game:
1. High beta.
2. Earnings don't come as fast as speculators want them to.
If you look at the history of this stock, you don't have to be a brain scientist to figure out that it always appreciates in price prior to the earnings anouncement, and then goes down afterwords.
I've made a lot of many because of this history. But, to be honest, I'm growing concerned that it will change. I strongly feel that someday soon, it will EXPLODE after it's earnings release.
Now, I've played the game, honestly. Will you?
