Lowe's Companies Inc. using hydrogen fuel cell forklifts by PLUG
On April 14, Lowe's Companies Inc. reported that it has begun using hydrogen fuel cell forklifts at the company's new distribution center in Rome, GA. The retailer began using 157 lift trucks fueled by hydrogen after piloting the technology in warehouses in California and Connecticut.
The lift trucks are supplied by Plug Power, which has deployed thousands of units across the country in warehouses and distribution centers. The lift trucks take only three minutes to refuel and saves valuable warehouse storage space normally reserved for battery swapping and charging.
