Just checking to see if anyone thinks this is close to bottom yet. I've got a small number of shares that I've owned forever for the dividend. Trying to decide if it's worthwhile to lower my price per share, or if it's time to bail.
Not buying but this is on my radar. Technicals do not support a buy here as they are ALL lower.....FTE also on radar but in even worse shape technically (10 year low).
Some thought 2009 lows would never come back for this...may be wrong.
Huh? TEF below 2009 low? Here is a nice Technical read.....Double bottom right here with a tight stop at 14.00. Sweet trade.
I bought an additional 650 shares this AM. Short term no one knows what the markets will do. . .long term companies with strong fundamentals will survive and do well. Meanwhile we are paid to wait.

Yea, I bought some this morning before market for $14.20 per share... I might have overpaid in light of the distinct possibility it could go much lower but a 14% dividend made the risk acceptable especially with a small amount of shares...
By the way, when is the next dividend ?
I bought at 14.18 this morning as well...
No doubt that this is a good stock to buy. Be patience til next week-$12.5.
Probably Wont get there. Good luck with that. Any positive news at all regarding Spain/Argentina and Tef/Europe/Spanish Banks and TEF pops to 17 in a flash.
I am. I don't care what happens to the stock tomorrow, next week, next month, or even the next year or two or three. If if drops further, I'll keep averaging down. The network and assets are there. Seven years from now this stock will be $ 60 and paying a $ 6 dividend. TEF is one of the positions I am coun ting on for a comfortable retirement.
Looks like the shorts are starting to cover....big jump in price into the weekend.
I did yesterday and today and plan to get more if it drops further.
I would be buying as well. Think Argentina is just going after oil/gas and will not be targeting telecoms. The stock dividend is a smart move to save cash in the recent economic environment and will be non dilutive due to cancelling of the shares they have.
Company is doing well and earnings look good so not a lot of downside once short sellers move to the next momentum play.
