Good riddance DBC! Sold last of my this pos etf for 25.38. Complete fraud imho. Manipulated greatly and milked away for the real benefits of the administrators. No more Power Shares.
What a naive thing to say, blaming everyone and everything but yourself for a bad trade.
If that is so why dont you short all powershares out there, see how you do ?
What's your complaint? This product merely tracks an index:

Where's the "fraud"? How can the ETF be "manipulated"? Over the short term, excessive speculation by ignorant or corrupt traders can provide crazy price swings, but over time there will be a direct correlation as the above chart shows.
Most experts think that commodities are a good hedge against inflation. Why bail out now when inflation is low and this product is relatively cheap? IMHO, this a long-term hold and flitting in and out will kill your returns.
And by the way, there are hundreds of ETFs, from broad market indices to specialty sectors. They are a cheap way for the average investor to get broad exposure to these areas. These are certainly NOT "a trap for the small unsuspecting investors."
Most unbiased advisors argue that ETFs offer the BEST choices for small investors. Again, these must be LONG TERM holds. Chasing the flavor of the month (or year) will ruin your investment success for sure.
P.S. To see the correlation between DBC and the index, type "DBC" in the "COMPARE" box and pick your time period.
Good move "bounty"! I agree etfs are a trap for the small unsuspecting investors.
And good ridddance to you bountiful mouthful.
Power Shares has some useful funds providing ezposure to various markets and sectors. But THIS particular product is designed for day trading speculators, not the likes of you and me (or most other people on this board).
Commodity options are strictly for experts - or folks with well-functioning crystal balls.
In this sector, MOO is a good choice for patient long-term INVESTORS, as a small part of a well-balanced portfolio.

Thanks for your pointer. I have gotten turned off from ETFs and do not plan to venture in them any more. I lost on several ETfs including UNG, DBC and DBA, etc. The only good one for me was SLV which also I sold recently at 17+ though I think it may go to 20.
