Thanks for your info, not just this post, but most. Do you think hig will go private once they are in complete control & who is in control now 2013 with the voting rights right now? Brooks or hig? My guess hig.
I think HIG is in control of the company and has the leverage to take it private if they so desire. However, taking it private, as I understand may not be without some difficulties and cost. That being said, if common the number of shareholders outside the company were to drop below a certain threshold, it could be done more easily.
The progressive transition from the Brooks family to HIG, as I originally heard it, was three years, but that is only hearsay.
As I read it, we are now about 25 months into the deal (since the filling of the 3/22/11 Form SC 13D), by which HIG became 'officially' involved in the acquisition.
Its entirely possible that HIG could take AERT private. At that point, they could buy us out, or issue some form of alternative equity instrument, which would be a lot less liquid. Additionally, I think they could valuate those equities more easily, in their favor, whenever we wanted to get out, and at THEIR schedule.
However, I hope that the company remains public, and regains a major exchange listing, preferably by increasing share price though profitability, rather than by reverse split.
Another year (by April 2014) should (or could) reveal a lot:
°°°Decking market and revenue improvement
°°°Watts plastic production and sales
°°°HIG's intentions regarding privatizing the company.
In any event, it seems as if revenues and share price might continue to improve. Next year's total profitability might well be totally in the black. If so, perhaps we might see a $0.75 cent share price. The 2nd and 3rd quarters revenues/earnings/charges should give us a better indication of how its going.
I think a good possibility for additional share price movement this year, lies in the 2nd quarter results reporting in July 2013. However, there seems to be a lot of resistance between here and a $0.50-$0.55 share price.
Who ever is in charge needs to release more press releases. The info I obtain is from the internet, store data and this message board. I do like the products and believe management was the problem before. If we can ever hold a positive P/E maybe the stock will climb like TREX. I still do not have a clue why TREX has such a high P/E. Any thpoughts?
