    getting cnq oil to ports

No doubt some smart pipeline companies see opportunity here. The differential for Canadian crude is creating a potential for would be pipeline builder/jopperators. The jobs and wealth created by pipeline builds is going to be a driver in this job hungry market. Its only a matter of time. Could be a good buy opportunity for those able/willing to be patient.

    • I build pipe lines! Cheaper to move clean oil. CNQ is a garbage product for many years to come. Also run by idiots and top management heavy.

      • Thinking big oil complex wants to keep cnq at discount valuation and pick it up at discount price at some point in time. Ironically president Obama not approving the pipeline before the election is helping the US keep the cost of foreign Canadian oil down. Of course free market pressures wiill resolve this in time. It could result in Canadian pipelines to the pacific and on to Asian markets with some sort of locked in agreement of supply. Then again a north south pipeline could get approval yet. time to buy cnq is when its at discount prices, not to say it wont get cheaper yet. glta.

      • On bloomberg thought i heard a guy say something like 2 million barrels are shipped by rail these days waiting on pipeline builds. I guess rail was the old way to move oil prior to modern pipeline.
No doubt a niche market for the rails that will last for a time. Wonder if cnq will build itself some refinery at some point in time, or is it more likely cnq gets taken over by a big oil that want to feed hungry exisiting refinerys? At todays discounted heavy oil cnq could be a juicy takeover target for a big oil with refinerys. Heavy oil is discounted so cnq is discounted the time could be ripe for acquistion of cnq.

        Sentiment: Buy

    • I would add that some tv analyst made the comment that the discount on Canadian crude is so large that some oil companies are actually making money by shipping crude by rail car. Now this might be a niche that dries up when pipelines are build or the discount on Canadian oil goes away but for the time being some are making profits this way. Thinking ther rails like it as well.

      Sentiment: Buy
