As I sadi last August. I started buying in the 15 range. I have been watching it go UP 40%. I also bought SEP after I mentioned the increase in it dividend and it is up. Get out of the market if you cant hack it.
Still holding. S&P with another belated upgrade to a 4star buy & tgt of $26. Don't know what s&p problem is but they have been chasing this well run utility for quite awhile. It is excellently positioned for a recovery whenever that may be. It's obama proof! Enjoy the div & buy the dips, don't listen to them!
Who made you Czar of message boards, Obama?
I may be a lot of things, but an Obama fan I am not.
Likewise, you don't know me, so please refrain from casting your perceived notion of my intelligence. Just because I'm not all giddy with SE doesn't make stupid.
Let me try and help you for you are misguided and unaware
X means "past" DUK means "Duke Energy" and VP means I didn't run the company. I am now a lowly investor with an insight that obviously you can't comprehend.
I worked for Duke and not for Wall Street, get no "bonuses" and resent you calling me a "crook". You don't know me so please refrain from casting names as I believe I could suggest a long list just dealing with your intelligence factor.
Please ask you Mom to buy you a set of wooden alphabet blocks which would be a good start to your education and keep you off this Board.
Somehow I believe that you are a ObamaBot
A quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share was announced on October 20, 2009 with an ex-dividend date of November 10, 2009 and a pay date on December 14, 2009. The annual dividend for Spectra Energy Corp is $1.00 per share.
Goldman Sachs doesn't agree with you or Citi.
From GS: We reiterate our Conviction Buy on Spectra (SE) following 4Q09 earnings.
We believe the future is now for buyers of SE, with near-term and longterm
catalysts that should deliver superior, well-rounded growth that is
among the best in our coverage universe. In the near term, SE’s
processing & fractionation assets provide leverage to our bullish call on
natural gas liquids (NGLs) prices and volumes. In the long term, SE’s feebased
assets should drive earnings growth from natural gas infrastructure
Check when I cam on board here. I bought in the low 15s.The Stock is now about $19.40.A move from 15.40 t0 19.40 is 26%.Actually SE got lower. A person that sools for a small loss would have been able to buy this or other Stocks at a lower price in this Economy.Who watches a stock go down 40-50% and then whines about it while att he same time advising others to then sell. Don't you people realize this is absurd?
Continious div reinvesting during the "40%' drop has averaged my holdings from a loss to a break even, increased my div yield and has positioned me for a nice profit when things pick up.
A solid co with a well supported div yield is just what you need in this market.
S&P just upped their ridiculous 2star 'sell' and $12 price tgt. to a 3star 'hold' AND A $22 TARGET!
Contrary to Kramer buy & hold can still work.
You should sell whatever you can for whatever you can get for it. You'll save money on your ant-depressants and won't have to worry about suicide. Quit crying and complaining.
One thing for sure is... when Barry sets wage limits for these execs they'll quit and you'll get some union goon in there that doesn't know how to tie his shoes. THEN you'll have something to complain about.
looking back I find myself amazed at my insight with some posts. So here's some more;
Before the end of Barry's (only) term, you won't find a job associated with the govt. that isn't held by an SEIU cardmember.
The Govt. payroll will double in the next 3 years.
It is being run by total losers now. If SE ever gets to 20 there will be massive sell orders filled. Most of us only kept it because it was given to us free. Some fools actually bought this. Good luck
