I can't seem to find updated
information on long term debt. As of December 1997, SLCM owed
1,800,000,000 (according to Nomura Securities) but according to
Forbes July 1998, they paid down $1.3 billion. This
should mean that debt is not that big now. Do you have a
recent figure on long term debt?

    • Their 2nd quarter 10Q shows LTD (including QUIDS)
actually went up 80,000,000. If they indeed paid off 1.3 B
in debt, it would be interesting to see where it
came from. They couldn't issue enough equity to pay it
down that much. I'm not even sure they could sell the
      entire company for 1.3 B.
