I just bought 1000 more shares too. Of the 8 stocks I own, this board is by far the most professional and informative - most boards seem to be subscribed to by 12 year olds, and that is an insult to 12 year olds. I have held other stocks for years before they got "discovered" and have had a lot of success with overlooked companies. As I mentioned earlier, 7/11 is right up there with Coke, and Levi's as an American brand name - actually the foreign stores might want to leverage the name and give a free pair of Levi's with a punch-card of $500 of purchases in a year - or free Cokes with $10 of purchases, etc.
BTW - I'm hooked on the Cafe Coolers - much better and cheaper than Starbuchs frozen coffee.
Mentges, Whoops---in the Part One of the discussion I meant to type "the beginning of 1998."(NOT 1997) A small typo, but very misleading as the improvements in management's attitudes towards its franchisees, so vital to Southland's success, only began about a year ago---according to the franchisees. And I too added substantially to my position based on the new December merchandise figures. Bob
