John Calamos was not in there buying shares. Once again, it was company purchases. Please go read the SEC filing. Most all folks like yourself are looking at some site which simply summarizes the information and excludes the details.
"Shares purchased by Calamos Investments LLC primarily to manage dilution resulting from, and potentially to fulfill the requirements of, Calamos Asset Management Inc.'s equity compensation plan."
So, the shares that were repurchased by the company was to keep the share count from increasing because of shares issued to management. Again - company buyback.
As I indicated previously - the company is simply buying shares at/below $11. At some point they will stop and the stock will continue lower.
