McDonalds in the Orlando area are touting free wi-fi. However, the service is not very good at all. When I take my daily hourly break from the office I often look for places with free wi-fi so I can check Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare or surf the Web with my I-Pod Touch. I have gone to different McDonalds and I notice sometimes the service simply doesn't connect at all and other times it just freezes or takes a long time before the McDonalds internet screen finally pops up that you have to log in through before it will let you connect. I regularly use free wi-fi through Starbucks, Panera Bread, or Dunkin Donuts and never have an issue, they connect super fast without issue. What is the deal with McDonald's why is their internet service so subpar? Has anyone else noticed this? It makes me want to avoid them, cause their food doesn't seem as good as it used to either.
I frequent a McDonald's in Reading, Penna. and have experienced the same problems with their wifi service that you have mentioned, along with constantly getting disconnected. I expressed my concerns to management on a few occasions. They left me with the impression that I was bothering them and was told they could do nothing about it.

The McDonald's system is set up to screen out people who absolutely have NO LIFE. Based on your post the McDonald's system identified you as merely an avatar with no real persona. You should try again only do real human stuff with the internet connection.
Communicating and socializing with friends on Facebook and other social networks is not human stuff, WTF? That is some of the most human stuff you can do with a computer. Don't be a hater just because you don't have a Facebook account because you have no friends.
