They only deserve what the market price is. So if there is a huge supply of workers for a limited demand of workforce, then the wage will be minimum wage. This isn't a black/white fight, this is a labor fight. There is no way for fast food employees to win more money in this situation. Either the current workers are replaced by automation or a new group of people dying to get a job or fast food places will close down because nobody will buy MCD food at double the prices and therefore all of these workers will lose their jobs. Simple as that. It is ironic that those companies that provide millions of jobs are demonized. If they no longer exist, who will be blamed for the 10%+ unemployment rate?
