    • dbrewerm,

      You posted:

      <Short Interest (Shares Short) 13,427,600>

      The short interest on the website you are posting from does not show a date.

      If you go to the NASDAQ website, you will find that the short interest figure being used is for 12.31.2009.

      The calculation is:
      113,427,600/31,674,202 = 42.39%.

      To be accurate, the heading should refer to "December 31 Short Interest."

      The implication that short interest is up again in January is inaccurate.

      We simply don't know what is happening to outstanding short interest in January yet. Our first look at January 15 figures will occur about Jan 28 from what I know.

      Regards,

      specsit.

      I am long STEC.
