It is indeed a beautiful area (the panhandle), and we live in a capitalist country where people can live where they like. I'm sure in Cuba there's plenty of waterfront property that is completely undeveloped.-
You are right. There is plenty of undeveloped waterfront property in Cuba, although the Spanish and Mexican developers have been putting up hotels on the best beaches. It is unfortunate that US firms are blocked out of the Cuban market. The best way to send Fidel off to pasture, would be let the Cubans see what they are missing.
