vlj's are the wave of the future in aviation. although not cheap, they will be affordable by the guys that fly hi end turbprops. i fly a king air every now and then, and that is def a hi end turboprop. the owner already has a vlj ordered. they will be able to get in and out of many small airports, including the small airport in the plantation on st. george. even c-130's can use apalach with ease. fed ex submitted a proposal to use apalach as their south american cargo hub. that would have been a huge boost to the economy of franklin county, but no way would it pass due to noise. speaking of weather, apalach is forecast to be severe clear and 70' saturday.....dem oysters, day been callin me!!! STILL LONG AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!
Some estimates say there will be as many as 20,000 in the air in 4 years.
70's here this weekend too. Cold tonight though.
How are those oysters? I have not had any of the Gulf oysters since I saw all the sewage being pumped in on TV. We have "Stump Sound" oysters from just north of here. They are plump and salty. Some say they are the best oysters in the world. Have you ever heard of them?
