    Sure looks that way. The overhead of a fixed store (electricity, taxes, salespeople, etc) will rise with time as profit margins decrease imho. Online stores have much less fixed expenses and the labor can be anywhere and the storage facility can be anywhere, as in Dell where sales people are somewhere in Texas but the computers are assembled overseas....., online shopping is simple and very convenient these days.....

    ..interestingly, I read that the number of malls in 1987 exceeded the number of high schools ..and they have been growing since.....until recently that is.....many malls sit 50% or more vacant and that's rising.....
