I myself am not hoping for disaster. But since I just got back in to gold today I certainly would not mind reading about a few harmless 'ol austerity riots in Portugal or a few other select European countries over the weekend...lol
what's sadder than sad, is those gold commercials that pump it up non-stop with their advertising on CNBC and FOXnews, that you never used to see at 600 to 800 bucks an ounce. Greed is good huh? They want your money bad before the price goes too low!

What an incredibly naive statement.
Do you even understand how businesses work?
Gold companies that are advertising on major networks, are very large companies, that work on a razor thin margin. The hedge their incoming prices, so that they are just making money on the small commmision, without taking undue price fluctuation risks.
The ads are there now, because there is a lot of buying and selling, thanks to the gloomy outlook for our currency.
No one is trying to push gold to us because they are worried price will go too low.
