Only the naive go to the pawn shop.
find a bullion dealer, find them at a local coin show.
dont appear ignorant. you can easily get close to, or 1-2% below spot for a recognized 1 oz coin.
Just like in everything else, if you 1. are ignorant and 2.go to a retailer instead of a whole seller, you will get ripped off. -

If you have a one ounce gold coin – keep it – and consider yourself blessed for your foresight and good fortune. This economic cluster ph *ch is a long way from over.
But, if you do have to sell it – go to a local coin shop. An honest broker will give you spot. At worst case you will get ten percent under and purchase at ten percent over.
When this economic scheme falls apart – the hordes of city folks are heading your way. Don’t worry most will not make it - they will kill each other in the chaos and confusion on the way out of the cities, and most will run out of water, food and gas along the way. I have no position in Gold and have never had a long or short position in Gold. My comments are for the good of society and to counter in some small way the damage that you Gold manipulators are doing to the nations psyche (and red-necks are a crucial part of the psyche).
