one way out of this
Drop dollar to ten cents on the dollar, that will bring the national debt to 1 trillion 600 billion. Then jack gold up to over 5 thousand an oz. Pay off the debt with our US gold. Then Jack up dollar and drop gold price back down. Why not?

the US has gold?......sure they do...they also have a SS Trust Fund with nothing but IOU's in it.......

Or we can just balance the budget and pay the debt with surplus revenues. Which will work.

There is no 'we' anymore. The plan is to 'balance the budget' over the next 10 years. US has 4 billion+ in interest each day. More bailouts coming from Mr. President. More debt compounded each year until the budget is balanced. Airplane Ben is spending at will. I say 25 trillion national debt by 2016. My first plan would work. My second plan is to release Bernie Madoff and put him in charge of the Fed............
