In the last thread, I found out a number of individuals had issues calling into GLD's inquiry line. I'd like to hear more on this so if you do have a horror story calling into State Street, feel free to share your account of what happened.
I called in with some fairly simple questions pertaining to GLD. It started out as a typical inquiry call should be as a rep named Brian introduced himself and offered to answer my questions. As soon as I gave out my first inquiry, I heard someone in the background repeating exactly what I said and MOCKING my accent. I could never fathom a professional point of contact pulling something like this so I thought I must have heard wrong. I went on with the call and eventually hung up after being ridiculed in the same rude manner.
Why is such behavior tolerated? Isn't SSgA a world class organization supporting a world class product? I have since been told by colleagues that 'Brian' likely forgot to put me on mute while putting me on speaker for his 'buddies'. Regardless, there is no excuse to crucify me for their own entertainment.
This begs the question: how many others have they done this to in order to satisfy their personal amusement? I can't imagine any self respecting individual tolerating such abhorrent treatment. In firms with a professional standard, this would never happen but I suppose this occurs in SSgA because they have no concern for their reputation or customers.
Are they still pulling this garbage on people?

During one of my calls, there were quite a few people casually chatting and eating in the background. The background chatter became so loud that it sounded like they were throwing a party. These people are truly as unprofessional as you think they are.
It must suck being a rancid old fart. At the end of your life and ugly as sin. It is a good thing we don't have to see your ugly old mug over at SSgA. You ugly old #$%$ can only call us after all.
Good luck trying to get these complaints to State Street. I tried for a while but kept getting the same clowns that undermined my attempts to speak to their manager when they were having difficulties keeping some of their documents up to date. These people are a joke.
You assume State Street has integrity. I have reason to believe their entire organization is full of morally bankrupt characters. They deliberately ignore all complaints so I would speak with the other organizations under GLD about any problems with State Street.
