I certainly am buying, BSBR seems to have retracted their entire 2012 gains after being up 20+%. Seems like a good place to add to my position from last year.
Also, dividend here is respectible. I think some are concerned if Spain's santander sells their stake the stock might tank. I doubt it, I can't imagine Spain's Santander is that desprite to sell some of their better growth, even though I believe they disposed of their Chile or Colombian banks last year.
I think Brazil could see a run toward the end of the year/next year, you have to imagine some positive head winds with the olympics, just think of the massive influx of people/money that will becoming in, it should be stimulative to brazils economy which is more consumer focused than other emerging markets.
Do you know how they pay their dividend? Is it quarterly? Yearly?
It just seems like some bumps in the road before steady growth. With south American economies on the rise this has a lot of room to expand and grow over the next 10years...assuming the whole world economy doesn't crash and burn before then!
