I honestly think there are multiple parties interested. It is the price that is holding AMRN back. W/out patent protection, no one is going to pay a $25 plus price. A buyer has to justify the value to their shareholders too. Also the market has been valuing this company under$10. What Joe has been doing is eliminating all the risk factors gradually (trials-patents-FDA approval). Then he will get the price he is looking for.
oh I wasn't implying they don't know that but it looks like they are putting all their eggs into the buyout.. big pharm knows this and will do the opposite.. I think it would be alot better if they had line up a distributor already and commence sales shortly after FDA. then at least there is a plan B in place alerady
Sure that could happen. Do you think the mgmt does not know it. They make lots of money if a sale happens. And they have already sold Reliant to GSK. I assume they know what they are doing.
