AF is not great at reporting these kind of information.Sun Times reported on hiring a financial advisor(Lazard Ltd.) in April,2011.This was confirmed by Bloomberg on 10th June,2011 with CEO of Amarin.
Chances of hiring a Financial advisor are very high.WHY?
Amarin is exploring different options for marketing Vascepa. They have to decide within 40 days the best option.
If look at Lipitor(Warner Lambert) in 1997--they went thru similar problem.
Fortune reported J.Simons wrote an article on 01/20/2003 about this,"The $10 Billion PILL,Hold the Fries, please,Lipitor ---". Events in 1997 are similar to events in 2012 for Amarin.
Agree on AF. My point is that Lazard was their advisor in 2011 and is still their advisor today. Nothing there has changed. What likely has changed is the quality of discussions surrounding partnerships and buyouts.
