I have participated in 5 Mergers & Acquisition in 60's--won a a top prize for writing about it.
Negotiation process is very painful--but in the end--everyone is rewarded with a trophy-YES-I mean a Wooden/Glass or plastic trophy.
My fear is that this process might take 8 more weeks more to complete.
AMRN is a tiny company with few employees, no significant facilities no pipeline, no plants etc. Simply to negotiate in many respects. The only thing that could take time has to do with waiting to eliminate some of the patent or NCE uncertainties.
It has lot of pipeline--620 patent--20120196920 is for Gastro-Digestive diseases like IBD,CHRON's.The Israeli co. that Amarin bought wanted to pursue this area--but Joe Z. and Private investors preferred that Joe focus on Cardiovascular diseases.
We don't have any trials data for Chron's--but that is another pipeline.
Joe Z.has concentrated on Patents in every area. Believe me--Patents are very important in drugs area.
