The nRX number is weak. Sales force is not doing a good enough job. Either it's not big enough, or they don't have the resources. This GIA continues to punish shareholders. At what point does management realize that they need more capital? This is just stupid.
Shareholders are being punished? What, no whips and chains? Speak for yourself like use IMHO to designate your opinion and not the opinion of others. Frankly, I'm happy for3401, plus the refill ramping up.
This is "not" stupid. You are just being ridiculously naive (sorry if this offends, but ..). Yes the GIA launch isn't causing massive Sales overnight, but that was expected. But, Sales are increasing and once there is "critical mass" they will ramp up very quickly. The refills are already an indication. Consider that each person on Vascepa now plus Doctor's prescribing it will pass on the info. and Scripts will increase geometrically accordingly. In addition Amarin decided not to blow the cash wad on Sales and Marketing, but wanted to get a slow and steady growth going while working behind the scenes on partnering and/or discussing acquisition.... with no rush "since" they held on to enough cash to keep going for while. If they blew the case then the pressure would be tremendous "plus" we'd have a dilution which Amarin wants to avoid for a long time (hopefully never). I'm guessing here, but I think most of what I said is correct. Lovaza started off in much the same manner and it took a couple years even to convince Big Pharma to acquire it.... at a huge premium vs what they could have paid for it by the way (look it up).
Scripts are moving along nicely, but we'll see what the tabloid boys said tomorrow.... of course we'll get a negative rant from Fiberstein, but that's a given.
My 2 cents.

who said a holiday week? It's long weekend. A lot of doctors didn't work on that Friday. That's why new scripts were down; but patients to refill increased 28.6% w/w since this refills didn't effected by long weekend.
Next week 05/31/2013, it was a holiday week, which is only 4 working days. Watch for refills, expecting another jump.
