Amarin Corporation plc Message Board

  • koleminer1 koleminer1 Jul 29, 2013 1:16 AM Flag

Rick Shalaby/ Sales Force/PDI/Cafe Pharma Chatter

Seeing a lot of different things (don't have time for URLs) . Obviously some sources not credible but::

    What really is Shalaby's status?
Is Amarin gearing up to hire more contract sales people? Good or bad - indicative of more GIA? More "bluff"? Was secondary actually required to pay these guys?
Some good and some pretty bad comments about the company, and the way they pay and treat people.
Should we be bracing for shorts to use this information?

Where's the truth on all of this???

    • From ihub post 11441:

Sales Force at 306 and able to expand out quickly with PDI. That's right, Rick Shalaby is VP of sales at Amarin and also VP of Dedicated sales at PDI.

    • That message board has always been a joke, nobody is vetted, everyone claims to work for the company they post about but the posts are then very unprofessional.

They hired Shalabay in 2012 and added to management team and per filing end of April 2013 was still listed as VP Sales. Linked-in still he is listed as Amarin Corp from Aug 2012 to present. Aaron Berg is listed as VP Marketing and Managed Care at AMRN.

When they file 2Q reports we can see if Berg replaced Shalabay. Not sure any of that matters.

It's possible he was replaced in July but not like he got sales so high he is indispensable. It's not like there are 20 different people posting on CP to give you a sense of AMRN and what is going on. For the most part, unless something new comes up CP is not really helpful in regards to AMRN sales.

    • Cafepharma is probably the worst place anyone could go to get info on a company. People post more BS on CP than on YMB; Hard to believe, but true.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Seriously? Why anyone would use information from Cafepharma as a basis for any trading/investment decision, long or short, is beyond me. Its one step below the Yahoo boards......and that is REALLY bad, lol.

      • LOL---Oh you can filter some information from CP, but if you are istening to the tone of any sales people, then you are being led astray! Many posters who are sales already got drummed out of cozy BP jobs--bitter.

Then they all have expectations of a Mercades for a company car, and bonuses for figuring out ways to pad any expense accts. If you read them griping---they would gripe if they won the lottery because it wasn;t big enough---zone that aspect out and ya get tidbits here and there! its like any other board including this one!

        Sentiment: Hold

      • You guys are really starting to scare me with your narrow thinking! The credibility of SOME of the sources was noted.

Any other intelligent comments on any of the issues appreciated greatly.
