Anyone know exactly how many shares are outstanding? Can't confirm - some report 150 million others 200 million. Thanks ...... and see everyone after Anchor. $4 billion is the number and GSK is the buyer. Don't want to debate or argue about it. SR says 28 buyout but I think $4 billion would be more like 23.50. Thanks.
From the 10Q published yesterday:
172,144,067 shares held as American Depository Shares (ADS), each representing one Ordinary Share, 50 pence par value per share, and 469,946 ordinary shares, were outstanding as of August 1, 2013.
For the millionth time, you need to use fully dilute shares for a buyout. 200m shares is a good estimate.
$28 a share? That is $5.6b. Yes $5.6b.....completely unrealistic of course.
You say $4b? Ok, then you are looking at $20 a share.
Seems to be ~20 bucks/share per what Rich said about diluted shares. After all the #$%$ we've gone through for the past 3 years, I would take it but it would be disappointing....
Hopefully merely a rumor....or start of bidding.
