1/10 week. TRx 5953 v 6449 (keep in mind the 6449 was a 4 day week so would have expected a huge bump this week based on a normal week ). NRx2485 v 2443. Lovaza TRx85919 v 86687. NRx 32069 v 28475
It's one of the best drugs available that nobody knows about ... everyone who is not allergic to shellfish would benefit from it... highly purified EPA and its anti inflammatory qualities will be prophylatic tx for many ailments. Lack of doctor and patient education coupled with small sales crew, tier coverage and negative mkt news explains the poor nrx .... i look at the refill rate as a barometer of things to come :)
homebuilder, here's a copy from a post by tomollie over on the AVNR board:
"Please note that there has been a recent change in how IMS Health tracks Retail and Mail Order Rx data.
Effective with January 2014 data, IMS Health will be upgrading all of their retail and mail service prescription data products to include Wal-Mart Rx data. The new data is being restated back to January 2012 and will generally show lower Rx volumes across the board for all companies and products (on average -3.7%).
Please note this change does not affect LTC Rx data.
Due to validation checks with the integration of this new Wal-Mart data, IMS has delayed the processing of data for the week-ending January 10 until later today."
I'm thinking that this may have had an effect on the AMRN script numbers. Are you reporting IMS or Symphony??
This is due to a combination of the weather and the soft week on the monthly cycle. A week ago much of the country was in crazy cold and snow. We're just above where we were last month at this time. Next week wil be better. New scripts will continue to underperform until the sales force changes. Until then, MoM refills are the only metric that matters.
So our total Rx was down big due to weather and a soft week (whatever that is) but Lovaza wasn't impacted? it's dangerous to be a bull with head buried in the sand and make excuses for your company's dismal performance. It is what it is. No excuses
Maybe they have the six job openings posted because they lost some Reps. Who really knows except for the leadership at A. I wonder if companies like GSK try to scalp Reps from companies like A. just to throw a monkey wrench into their operations thus confounding their efforts.
