Nothing is up. Frost has more money than God and continually buys to manipulate the stock prices of his companies. OPK being the major beneficiary with his daily purchases. However, that won't stop him from supporting his other companies as well.
I agree, Frost's participation here is irrelevant for the retail investor. My guess is he is simply maintaining his ownership percentage and was for the most part obligated to participate to do that. He is in too deep to start backing off now. I would be more interested to know who the other participants were.
With respect to OPK, there are definitely other things going on there and I would not touch that stock even if there was money to be made riding the price up with Frost. His buying there reeks of an agenda and those types of moves worry me. You just don't accumulate in the market like that unless you are up to something.
A great investor who buys low and sells high. He also knows how to run a business. I've been adding to OPK for years. Also adding to PBTH, LTS, and more recently to CDXC in the .50-.60 range. I have losses in LTS & CDXC and will continue to average down. Have good gains in OPK and have lightened up on my buying there although that may prove to me a mistake.
