    Conf Call

An interesting call, as the young analysts wonder about the "flu" and "weather conditions". With the stock now down to $14 again, one might surmise that some of the mutual funds have decided to play elsewhere. This is a good chance for retail buyers to pick it up. The important, really big issues here; Team Health will be acquiring new contracts, with good payor mixes. Hospital administrators love them.

In the meantime, grandpa keeps spiking fevers, grandma breaks the other hip, the ambuli keep rolling in. Oh, and has anyone noticed how primary care is broken? There is little option, when one gets sick, other than going to ER.

    • When this information trickles down it may stimulate some interest in TMH:

H.R. Bill 3962 passed last night with a vote of 417-1. This will provide a 2.2 percent Medicare fee schedule update for physician services through November 2010. This update replaces the 21 percent cut currently in effect, and will be applied retroactively to claims for services provided on or after June 1.

    • Expecting into year end to get extreme as the cabal goes to battle!

      • I am so worn has not been easy to trade this stock for a living these past 10 1/2 weeks or so. Not that it has ever been easy, but I'd submit these past 10 1/2 weeks among the most difficult in history to navigate...and I am simply worn out, and if we are headed for another bear market this soon after the last it might be the trigger for me to throw in the towel on this vocation

    • Maybe a little much to blame all the volume woes on lack of flu and the bad weather, but as you note it may be a good time to buy more on the dip. They seem to have a good pipeline to continue the rollups of small groups. Not all administrators love them, but they will really push their folks to please the customers and limit contract losses.

Blackstone will continue to guide management and provide support at least until it unloads its shares.
