WT now owns Ballard? Huh? Hey Blue, Bill hasn't argued about [sematics], he has argued with the fundamental inefficiency of the hydrogen fuel chain and the cost of fuel cells. Those aren't semantics.
And now Blue is the pumper. Five a share? 200 telecom back up units a quarter? Sheeeesh Blue calm down. Nothing will make Ballard's share price go up that much besides a profitable quarter or two or three. Ballard has projected EBITDA break even in the past, with plan Bs in place, that didn't pan out. Plug has literally has had backorder on the books, that always just stays there because they have manufacturing issues.
Here is when to buy Plug
1. Plug announces contract(s)
2. Plug manufactures everything on time with no manufacturing defects
3. Deliveries occur on time, no fueling infrastructure delays
4. Plug gets paid and shows a profit on paper
Now you should buy Plug.
Hopefully cellular rolls in for Ballard but time will tell. Ballard has never yet levered any partnership in to any kind of commercial success. Even Danthem and IdaTech in their way are failures. Kept afloat, hopefully fortuitously by Ballard. Plug, dilution after dilution. Ballard Ebarra, nothing. South Africa, waiting to see but no clear path to commercialization yet. Even though the US and others will be investing billions to electrify sub-Saharan Africa in the years to come, no definite connection to Anglo and Ballard yet. There are too many other smaller at the time heralded partnerships that have also just like these here, come to nearly nothing.
The latest big deal in cellular were the 50 units Azure took to some undisclosed location in China where they were supposed to be on a short fuse to a commercial order. So far, nothing. Not even mentioned on the last call. Norway? Not even mentioned on the last call. Sprint? Mentioned only in passing. What has been nice for Ballard is a nice slow drip to NTT DoCoMo, and to the european CHIC participants for buses, and VW.
Let's get one thing straight Jake baby. Hydrogen is a loser. It is uneconomical. It is energy inefficient. It is dangerous.
My position in BLDP is simply a market play. I used to make a seven digit annual income doing that. Not so much any more as the rules have changed, but still a useful and profitable enterprise.
William-tarasen. Hydorgen is not a loser. In fact it is now at the cusp of history. . Dangerous. ? Does it really matter what blows you or your car up... gasoline or Hydrogen, I mean come on.. NASA been using it for 30 years and then uses it waster wasted to scotch and water while up there.. Nothing and I mean nothing while out preforn hydrogen. Tesler is somewhat successfull because charging batteries is much easier that building Hydrogen filling stations.. "But,, But California has almost finished the Hydrogen Highway. When that starts up that we going to Roll baby Roll... the natural progression of it......................just hang on ,, it will happen
Well William, it sounds like you are incredibly clever. More so than the engineers at Mercedes, Nissan, Renault, Toyota, Honda, VW and the governments of Germany, China, Netherlands, Japan... Or sorry I won't go on...Wow. On behalf of all posters on this board I thank you for setting the yahoo world right tonight.
I don't think Danthem is a failure.
Azure bought 10% and ordered those devices.
Give it time.... after these 2 qrts (try on field), Azure could buy big, if satisfied by performances.
But a they bought part of Danthem I think they will.
