    Carnival - The Unsafe Ship

    ​I just completed a two-hour hold on Carnival's phone line only to get another recording telling me that they are experiencing high call volumes and to call back next week! Are they freaking kidding me? Is this place on the verge of bankruptcy or something? They can't staff their call center? With two ships down in the past few months and numerous reports of ecoli, I think anyone that would even consider dealing with such a place is crazy. I know I feel that way now. I want to cancel! Give me my money back!

    Carnival promises that if you book their early saver plan, you will get a credit on your sign and sail card if they lower the price. If you're smart, you won't believe a word they say. I am a diamond member with 69 cruises and 403 sea days. Three out of four times, they have denied the claim. Ever since they hired the accountant to be the CEO, they have been less than honest in their promises. Don't be fooled.

    I recently made a purchase with Carnival cruise line and I am unable to reach them! I have called for a full week. I have waited to speak to a rep for 2 hours. No one has reached out to me at all. I have filled out an email form online stating I would get a call back a week ago but never received a call back! I need to cancel my upcoming trip. Carnival has been experiencing a lot of troubles with their ship and I am afraid to travel with them. I am requesting a full refund! I need my money back from them. The trip was $761.45 for three people. I am requesting a full refund soon before the ship sails on April 8. Their service is horrible and they're very inconsiderate and disgusting!

    • My last 7 cruises on Carnival all were booked with early saver plan and everytime the rate was lowered I got the lower rate with no problems. Some of them dropped as many as four times prior to sailing and I received the lower rate everytime with the last one being lowered last month. I also just received a 4 category room upgrade for free on my cruise in June.

    • We have been on 15 cruises + total in the last 12 years, about 10 of''em was on Carnival. Until about 2008 Carnival was OK, then it started to slide down cutting service, food quality and variety.
      One of the last Carnival cruises from Tampa to Cozumel our state room was freezing cold and they were not able or willing to fix the problem, neither they offered any compensation for that. I also noticed that Carnival ships were cheaply made in Italy, Carnival obviously did not make much effort to keep them safe and sound as the latest "incidents" prove.
      Other cruise companies like Royal Caribean have their ships built in Finland and if you,ve been on both you'll see the difference in construction quality.

      I do not plan to sail on any Carnival ship until they really get their act together if they ever will.

      As for CCL stock I never owned it, but I plan to buy some serious puts if the market auction warrants it.
