I am a long time investor in IGT with thousands of shares. I have watched the stock go from $40+ to as low as $8-9. I have read about Double Down and do like the concept. Whether it will be a money maker and the right direction for the company ?? However, online gaming seems to be the future if we can deal with the legal issues. Opinions?
The leadership of the previous CEO seemed to take the Company to new heights in the pre-Hart years.. I have not been impressed with Patti Hart, especially when listening to her on the past few Conference Calls and watching the stock crash. What is so wrong with Ader, et. al. and why should I vote my shares for the current Directors when they have taken the stock---and perhaps the Company-- down the tubes. Really would like to hear opinions both pro and con.
I bought more yesterday. NJ Gov. Christie announced that he favors Online gambling in NJ....He will succeed.... OLG is needed to help those floundering casinos in AC. ALSO....my gut tells me this stock is acting like a take out candidate. I have NO info to that effect.....just a gut feeling. I will buy more if it dips to 15 and change.
IGT take out candidate? Only if some individual/company feels IGT is undervalued and can do better running the company.
IGT stock price been so depressed for years.
Can IGT see 20 in 2013? Could come by 3/31/13 or never?

Why not try playing IGT slots on Doubledown virtual Casino on Facebook?
If you do you and also find out what other players think of IGT slots you will soon find out most are completely turned off because the slots are set way too tight!
Why IGT sets the payback so low on play for fun slots is beyond belief and possibly sabotage!
I really would like a answer to this from a top executive.
My answer with regards to any big position you're having trouble sleeping with is to buy some puts to push your fear out on the horizon and don't worry so much about it. If you had a lambo, I'd say you want to insure it before you head into the twisties. We are heading into the twisties, bro! Strap in and call Geico .. you have an airbag and you will be fine. Enjoy the ride!!!
A lot of the volatility is the broader economy too, so maybe something to think about to help you get some rest.
The problem with IGT is simple. They do not and are not even trying to compete in the only way to grow in the gamining business ,quality and innovative slot machines. They use a third party to do it for them. There are people who post otherwise on this board. I go to casinos at least 2 times every month so I see what the slot players are playing and like. There are many smaller companies with fewer assets and less money growing their floor space.IGT wasn't even smart enough to bid for WMS , a company that makes high quality games even though they too have underperformed lately.WMS is in the process of revamping all their slots with 4 new state off the art platforms with 100 new titles and 200 different forms of presenting them.IGT should look to take over a quality slot machine company.
