This rumor, if true, is a reflection of duPont's difficulty in entering the separator business.
They built a plant in Chesterfield County, VA in 2010, and nothing has been heard from there since.
I suppose the executives in charge of that business have decided it would be more cost-effective to buy the technology from PPO rather than develop it.
This shows strength to PPO due to the difficulty in competitors entering the market. It is a very hard nut to crack.
duPont is already in the market - they have a new plant in Chesterfield County, VA making the same type of lithium battery separator as Polypore.
$65 a share is not good at all. I would vote no on this!
