    Bottom line!

There are 6,600,000,000 people on earth who cannot afford to burn natural gas at more than $15. In about 25 years, the US will be off of coal. Obama said nothing about cutting coal exports. In the meantime, natural gas prices in the US will move above $5 and coal usage will pick up. We have a few poor people in this country who need to burn cheap stuff too. As to the contributor who thinks that coal kills 13,000 people every year in the US, I would ask for the numbers for natural gas. It, too, emits carbon. And how about the 2,000,000 homes in the US that still heat with raw coal (no filters). I am one of those and cannot afford a gas furnace nor can I afford the $2,000 annual cost to heat my home and run my hot water heater with gas (I would have to use propane). My coal cost is under $800 per year. The message today was politics at it's best. Obama had to pay back the environmentalists
who contributed the big bucks in his campaign.
Next move for coal stocks is UP!!
